I did not expect to write a book when I started in 2017. Not sure what I expected, but I knew I needed to understand what was happening to us. I traveled on road trips around the country, approaching strangers and asking if they would talk to me. My little video outfit gave it an air of importance, recording them as we talked, and almost all were eager to talk. Surprised that someone wanted to hear their story.
So much has shifted and changed during this time, yet we are still trying to figure out who we are. I didn’t get answers, I did come away with understanding something about us. It is why I hope you will read my book, it is the understanding part that is important.
